in the beginning

Being my first time, I thought I should take it slow.
Today I am procrastinating in the way all students do when they are staring down 10,000 words of assignmenting to be completed in the next 3 weeks. Half a dozen cups of coffee, file my nails, re-file my music, walk to the letter box twice and scour the internet. After all this I find myself still unmotivated to write essays, instead the thought pops into my head..."you've never blogged before, all the cool kids are doing it... give it a go". And here I am.

I should really take my faithful lappy outside, sit under a tree and take advantage of the lovely day that it is outside, BUT, in here I have at least the illusion of working. The books are open, the cursor blinking at me in anticipation of some profound statement and I'm drawing a blank. It wouldn't be so bad if I was drawing a fish, I could say that was part of the assignment. Instead just a blank. Even had the old trick of writing in the question, to get the ball rolling so to speak but no dice.

Though this quick little post has got my fingers moving. Ahhh so this is why we do it.
